Are there easy ways to lose weight? – Part 21

Oh wow. I can’t believe that this is still a seriously asked question. Obviously, there are sooo many easy ways to lose weight.

But, what easy means to one is what hard means to another. Regardless, easy way number one? You’re gonna laugh. I know. I know. You are going to say, “I’ve done that already.” Aw. But exactly, you did not. You would have lost weight if you truly had. The secret?

Just simply eat less. THIS WILL WORK.

Calories are deceiving. One ounce of cheese, the size of your thumb, is over 100 calories. A normal person could eat half a block of cheese, putting them close to 1,000 calories. One ounce of grapes? 10 calories. A person only needs 1500 calories in a day MAX if they are trying to lose weight. You can even knock that down to 800 in you are that disciplined. 800 calories in a day is just 3 TV dinners. Oh, wow. Funny how “they” say to eat 3 times a day (one time would be a TV dinner) or 6 small times (one time would be the amount of HALF a TV dinner). When they say to eat six times a day, they do not mean to eat SIX TV dinners.

Just like a diabetic checks his/her blood sugar and notes every Carb ingested, if you have an issue overeating, then log your food intake. This will help you notice what foods you eat in what pattern. And it will help you understand calorie levels in each food. Read labels. Being obese or even just overweight is an issue that should be treated just like that of diabetes. And it should be handled just as responsibly. But it is not. That is why this question is still being asked today. One wants an “easy” way to do something, anything. But what one does not understand is that the easiest ways are usually the hardest.

For example, it is really easy to eat less of the food on your plate. This is because this act is about the only thing in the world that you have ABSOLUTE control over. But. It is really hard to stop eating because it may taste good, or you think you deserve to “indulge” just a little more or for whatever other reason you over eat. It is a mind game. It is hard because you are the only person to blame if you fail. You self-destruct. It’s vicious. I know.

I want to say props to you if you have continued reading this far and did not close out the page because I was hurting your feelings or because you were thinking I was cold and callous for “not understanding” what a “fat” person has to go through in a day. Bravo for you for continued reading.
