The first thing that needs to be done is set up a routine, or a ritual. Sticking to a set guideline will ensure success.

What you eat is going to the most important part of any diet. How much you eat isn’t as important as WHAT you eat.

Choose foods that are low in fat and carbohydrates.

Weight Loss Foods – Worth the Weight

Our weight weighs heavily on our minds, and it should. Approximately 127 million adults in the U.S. are overweight, 60 million obese, and 9 million severely obese says the American Obesity Association. For years I have been struggling to lose weight. I don’t want to be a supermodel or super skinny; I would be happy as a size eight.

As I’ve started to work towards achieving my goal, I’ve learned something – losing weight is a lot harder than you think. It requires a lot of discipline and the ability to keep going even if you screwed up. That was my biggest issue. I would eat too much one day, and then a little too much the next day, and then it would slide out of control again.
